Courtney and I met in San Luis Obispo several years ago and bonded over our love for running, adventure, and the outdoors. We shared many runs together, chatting about our training regimes, upcoming races, and future goals. When Courtney moved to Wisconsin, we made the effort to stay in touch and catch up every so often about life, work, and running. Our friendship continues to grow and we are both very excited to embark on this journey together as coaches.
Even though Courtney and I are not professional athletes, we feel like our lives are just as fulfilling. We find joy in getting out there, going for a run, racing if we feel like it, and taking a step back if we need to. Through our friendship, we’ve learned how to be supportive and be each other’s cheerleader. Now with the knowledge and training we’ve gained over the years, we want to show the same love and support for others as we have done for each other.
We want to be a positive support, a leader, a mentor, and most importantly, a friend. Training and running can sometimes feel lonely, and sometimes it feels like we have to figure things out by ourselves. Now with training apps and AI, it makes it much easier for people to build their own training plans, but we know these platforms cannot replace a coach or confidant that will make the effort to understand you, support you, listen to you, tailor your workouts, and adjust your training when you need it. You’ll find that our coaching style goes beyond writing your weekly runs. We’ll communicate with you, encourage you, provide honest feedback, and ensure running fits with your lifestyle and goals. If you need to take a step back from training, that’s okay too, we know that coaching can be a mental, physical, and financial commitment. You can always reach out to us if you want to come back, we’ll do what we can to be there for you. Happy running!
